Your health and safety are very important to us. Rest assured, we exceed all standards in sterilization and OSHA concerns. We use only the highest quality, most biocompatible materials including mercury free fillings. Only pure water is used during dental procedures and any accessory or instrument that cannot be discarded after treatment are thoroughly cleaned and sterilized. Mercury Safe Dentistry

Initially, it was believed that mercury fillings were sealed and the poison could not be released into our systems.  Now we know that the fillings release mercury vapor 24 hours a day, especially when we chew.  This vapor is released into our blood stream and deposited into our liver, kidneys, brain, gastrointestinal tract and other organs.  Mercury exposure may cause a multitude of symptoms, including headaches and insomnia, and is also being related to conditions like Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer's, Chronic Fatigue, and Fibromyalgia.  Dr. Weiser believes that some people are more sensitive to mercury than others and may be more likely to become ill.  For those who are interested, we offer safe mercury filling removal using the special guidelines recommended by IAOMT (International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology).  These guidelines prevent unnecessary mercury exposure during the filling removal process.  Dr. Weiser’s office is one of the few offices in Southern California, that provide this service.

Dr. Weiser sees many patients who are concerned about the mercury in their silver/amalgam fillings. Some of these patients come to us because their Holistic Medical Practitioner or M.D. has diagnosed mercury related illness.  Others come to Dr. Weiser’s office because they are holistic oriented and want to be preventive in order to stay healthy and live longer.
